Third Quarter Progress Reports and Parent Conferences
The third quarter of the 2016-2017 school year will end on March 17th. Parent conference days will be on Tuesday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 22. This year Spring conferences will only be held for students that are considered “at risk” either behaviorally or academically. Parents may also request conferences if they feel there is a need to do so. Students that have conferences will also have a progress report completed on their report card. It will available for viewing on the parent portal of Aeries. Teachers can assist you in finding the progress report during conferences.
Mark Your Calendars!
We will have two minimum days due to Parent Conferencing. Students will be dismissed at 1:25 PM on TUESDAY, March 21st and WEDNESDAY, March 22nd. Please mark your calendars and make applicable child care and carpool arrangements.
Intent to Register
All 5th grade student entering 6th grade at elementary level are required to complete an Intent to Register form. Sixth graders moving onto middle school are also required to complete the Intent to Register form. The school district will not be printing hard copies of these forms as the entire process will be completed electronically. Links are available on our school website as well as the district website under the Educational Services tab. The office staff is available to assist in this process if needed.
Yearbook pre-order forms are available in the front office. 2016-2017 yearbooks cost $15.
Big Smiles Dentist
Big Smiles Dentistry Program visited campus Thursday, April 27th to provide preventative dental care to those who sign up and qualify. The dentist(s) provided exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants as needed. Students needing additional care received a referral to a local dentist. Thank you for your support and for caring about the health of your student(s).
Acceptable Use Policy/Data Confirmation
We still have a number of families who have not yet signed up for your Aeries Parent Portal, please do so as soon as possible. Simi Valley Unified School District uses Aeries.Net for you to access student information and grades. This system is how we will communicate grades and attendance with you throughout the school year. It is important to review and update your student’s information every year. Updating the information only takes a few minutes, but it is vital for the safety of your student. If you need assistance, feel free to come by the office. Once your account is created and updated, please check your student’s account periodically. Workshops can be offered if there is a need to do so.
